SUMMARY:2023 Iowa Tree Climbing Competition (IATCC)
DESCRIPTION:The Climbing Committee has selected a location for this year’s competition to rally our western Iowa friends and industry professionals and to provide a fresh layout for the competition.  Glenwood Lake Park is located in Mills County, amongst the Loess Hills and rivers of Southwest Iowa offering fishing, picnic areas, trails and a playground.  Camping is available on a first-come-first served basis and may not be reliable for this event.\n\nThe 2023 entry fee for all climbing competitors is $100.  Electronic payment is preferred and can be made online via PayPal at www.iowaarboristassociation.org/events.  Check payments are acceptable and can be made payable to the Iowa Arborist Association.  Please note the competitors Name and “TCC registration” within the check memo for processing.  Checks must be mailed to 24538 170th Ave, Eldridge, IA 52748, no later than May 12th 2023, or provided the day of competition.  All competitors must be paid in full before being allowed to compete.   ISA CEU’s are eligible for competitors and judges.\n\nCheck In will be required the day of and a signed waiver must be completed by all participants.\nA T-shirt and a grilled hot lunch, drinks and sides will be provided during the day of competition for all registered competitors, volunteers and judges.  Event walk-through and gear inspection will be completed Friday afternoon for early arrivals and Saturday morning for those who cannot arrive Friday.  Please complete the Gear Check Form on the website prior to arriving to help expediate the gear inspection process the day of competition.  The Vermeer-Sherrill Tree gear trailer will be onsite stocked with common items if a piece of equipment would fail inspection or require replacement.\n\nAll safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are REQUIRED for participation in this event.\nWeather conditions will be monitored by the event judges.  If activity is postponed due to inclement weather the competition will be rescheduled immediately at the same location for the following day:  Sunday May 25th, 2023.\nPlease direct questions to Jeremy Bowling by phone at (563) 639-8623 or by email at: Jeremybowling@icloud.com\n→ Downloaded & Complete the registration form here (PDF file)\n→ Downloaded & Complete the Insurance notification here (PDF file)\n→ Downloaded & Complete the participant release form here (PDF file)\n→ Downloaded & Complete the gear check form here (PDF file)\nThe entry fee is $100 for climbers.
