In this workshop we will explore the law as it applies to tree work and developments in tree appraisal with two of the most respected names in arboriculture.

Jim Flott is a former President of the Pacific Northwest International Society of Arboriculture (PNW-ISA) chapter and the Washington Community Forestry Council; an ISA certified arborist and certified municipal specialist; American Society of Consulting Arborists registered consulting arborist; PNW-ISA TRACE instructor and certified tree risk assessor; ISA TRAQ instructor and assessor; current member of the ISA board of directors. His consulting practice specializes in municipal arboriculture and urban forestry programs. Jim has moved some of the largest trees in the world… successfully!

Jeffrey Ling, RCA, TPAQ is the senior Consulting Arborist in Indiana, a TPAQ Instructor, and an ISA Certified Arborist. He is a Board Director and incoming president of ASCA and serves as the ASCA co-liaison to the CTLA. He serves his hometown, New Haven, IN as a member of the Mayor’s Tree Commission. For 31 years, Jeff co-owned TreeMasters, Inc. a comprehensive arbor-care company. The company served many hundreds of private clients and over 45 green industry companies in Plant Health Care and Woody Plant Pathology. For 8 years, Jeff served as Adjunct Faculty at IVY Tech in Fort Wayne, teaching classes in Horticulture and Tree Care science. Jeff has taught professional classes and seminars in over 50 venues.
